If you're doing a request, and want maximum sucess, follow these small guidelines.

1) Make it clear from the topic title what you want; That means in less that 20 letters. Make sure to include all your requests. (IE: "Need Kirby 64 Music").

2) NEVER EVER EVER make it sound like a demand; Words like "want", "must" etc. are very stupid words to use. (IE: "I must have...". See the demand in it?).

3) Emoticons are cute, but don't use them either; Especially not in topic title or description. (IE: "Hi biggrin.gif need sounds ^^:" <-- loses for sure.)

4) SPELL CORRECTLY; For gods sake, anything else hurts the readers eyes. Make proper gramma, take your time typing the request, then people will take their time helping you. Do not use l33t-speak or capslock either. (IE: "u giVe mE mUSI k tHx" <-- WORST EVER.)

5) Be friendly; Even though people are being rude - trust me, it's worth it. Just because one person is being an asshole doesn't mean this whole forum is.

6) For the sake of cleaness, put [SOLVED] instead of topic name to end your topic; This isn't really a "rule", though. But my point is it's a nice idea.

7) Make sure you read the sticked topics before posting; because it happends that your solution lies there.

Here's 2 examples of topics; See the diffrence?

I don't usually pay extra attention to grammar or spelling. You just need to form up your sentences properly, to have people to understand what you want.

This is my opinion, ofcourse.

I may not feel like helping people if they break any of the above unwritten laws ph34r.gif
