I wrote my own Piranha Plant engine, and it works, but I can only have one. How do I solve this?
If I add more than 1, each works, but the "don't go up when Mario is next to the pipe" thing only works on one of them, not on all of them. Can someone fix it for me?
I put the Piranha engine into a seperate file along with a basic Platform Movement Mario (I didn't leave in anything else from my game, obviously). Add another Piranha Plant and pipe (do note that in the actual game two pipe-like Active Objects cover up the Piranha Plant when it's in the pipe) to see what's wrong.

works great! thanks
but there's one thing that's still annoying me (I still need to code it)
I have a system for collection of one large engraved coin in each level, if you collect all of them in one world a secret level is unlocked. how can I track which level coins have been collected without 40 global values being used up? and loads of time wasted on the setup, loading and saving codes (I'm using INIs for the saving) for loading/saving each?
