I'm at my dad's computer in his downstairs office right now because the computer in my bedroom suddenly won't connect to the Internet.
It froze several minutes ago, so I shut it down by turning the power off from the tower. I waited a few moments and started it up again, but when everything was loaded, it wouldn't allow me to connect to the Internet. I checked my dad's computer and it was working fine (obviously). The router indicates that nothing is wrong with the connection to my computer (I guess, anyway; the light on the router for my computer is orange, as it's supposed to be). I tried waiting several minutes, and that didn't help. I also tried logging out and logging back, but it still won't connect. Could I have some kind of virus that would prevent me accessing the Internet but wouldn't actually cut the connection off?
Oh, another thing that's weird is that it acted as though I wasn't even connected to the router. Usually when it won't allow me to connect to the Internet, it will take several moments for Firefox to display the "page cannot be found" message. Just now it did it almost immediately, which usually only happens if I'm disconnected. The little icon in the bottom right of the screen says "Little to no connectivity," but like I said, the router indicator light for my computer is displaying normally.
