Done. I made them slightly smaller, making it look a bit distorted, which is what we want, right?

Also, I went and fixed the outline so it looks mroe like the ones Phage did.

Suggestions:

Widen the face, and make it bigger
Simplify eyes to make it look lifeless
Remove smirk, it's too RSE-like, instead make a generic smile

I could easily widen the face, but how should I go making the eyes "lifeless" and making the smile generic? It looks generic enough to me...

get some ideas from the other RB sprites

Well. you could close the eyes in a ^-^ sort of manner if all else phails. In addition, change the pose, make it a bit bigger, and follow this advice: SCRATCH OR NULL. If they look cruddish or mishapen, cool.

P.S. If you still need help, compare to Pikachu.

Bah, the smile is fine as-is. I fixed it a little, so it should look AT LEAST a little better. As for the eyes, they look nice, and I'm not sure exactly how to make them more "lifeless".

RBY eyes don't require lifelessness. The amount of eye emotion varies with the pokemon. Jigglypuff and Haunter contain oooodles of emotion, while in contrast, Ditto's eyes are pixels. Lifelessness is actually a rare case.

I'm sorry, but that's not very good. It looks a bit messy, the arms are horrible and it needs more shading. Though the eyes look very nice.




Also, the lack of posts in this awesome topic is making me very .

Haha those are pretty spot on, can't see any flaws in it. Would fool me if I didn't know any better.

Gonna go for Minun, then I'm gonna make a quick hoax.

May I recommend making them different colors?

What do you mean by "different colors"?

I mean that you need to comment on Registeel Plusle and Minun are too alike. Make one red/yellow and the other blue/purple.

That registeel is awesome, indeed. Though the arm look a little flat.


Anyways, I'll try switching the colors around and see what I get.

Done. I think Plusle turned out quite well. I didn;t know which blue pallatte to use, so I used both. And I think both look like ****.
