This is a good rule

I can't recall specific topics (and I might just be entirely wrong), but I seem to remember it being brought up several times in some form or another in Forum 12 topics. We actually said a few times that we would begin enforcing it (I believe it's the "OPERATION UPHILL" referenced in the stickied topic there), but we never really did.

As far actually officially declaring it a rule, it was discussed on AIM and also on Forum 37.

"Operation Uphill" was something discussed in Forum 12 that would have been something like this, except for a certain moderatory incident, which we will not discuss here that completely threw it aside.

What an awesome new rule. I might actually post here more often because of the great new rule that most forums should have.

Although, I doubt this rule will keep those people at bay. Considering some people refuse to read the rules...

I honestly though that Stupidity was a punishable offense that hasn't been responded to. But now that you bring it up, it's good that it's being enforced.

Also, you should consider punishing people for breaking the rules, whether they read them or not. That seems to be another worry that I, or for that matter, WE all have.

How about also just banning anyone under 16

This kinda goes along with "use common sense."

Most people actually won't have to adjust their behavior at all for this, I suspect. It's just the people whose posts are constantly stupid and without merit that may find themselves in trouble.
