How did you find MFGG?

PK mentioned it quite a bit at the Koopatorivm K-board (forum I used to but no longer frequent), so I decided to check it out, and here I am!

my brother (mario_superstar).
he was the epitome of newb and eventually left, but i decided to join and stayed... so... now i'm still here?

My friend Alex(Aka: Supernesfreak) Linked me the site, and i was hooked since.

i found mfgg from Super Mario Blue Twighlight DX which I found from youtube, which I got from my sister

Searching for mario graphics/ TGF libraries I think... I stumbled upon the old bowser technologies website a while ago but I think that was after it was obselete.. I joined the old forum with the red graphics but I only posted once or twice, I think my screenname was something to do with "Toad" and someone made a GIF for me .. I think I rediscoverd mfgg a little after that or something.. anyways I've been visiting mfgg for a long while, I'm not the biggest biggest poster but yeah I guess I'm an oldbie sorta.. I dont consider myself that I just think of myself as a 'regular'

I was surfing spriters resource, went to affiliation, and found MFGG, but I dodn't join till July, then I joined the forums just a few months ago........

Ever since being bored of Newgrounds flash games, I looked for more Mario games, and I came across... no, not MFGG, but, rather, BOWSER TECH! (DUN dun dun!) I joined in 04, but around since BT, baby!

First Kenshin joined, then Nightwing joined, so I followed suite!

I actually found this site off SonicProject's sig on the SFGHQ forums waaaay back in 2003. I remembered that SonicProject had an interesting link that showed that Sonic Fangames weren't being made, and I thought "So, SP is on that site huh?". I was "targeting" SonicProject for banning me from SFGHQ. I, being an immature troll, intended to annoy the site a bit of what it's worth and then annoy SonicProject himself. Obviously my thinking was topsy turvy to that today.

I have no idea. I was searching for sprites for a sprite comic, and found this. The rest... I still have no idea, but I'm glad I found it nonteheless.

So, anyway, I was actually at SFGHQ around 1995 or so, and then in about a year, I wanted to put a Mario cameo in one of my Sonic games. I couldn't find any sprites, so I decided to check the SFGHQ affiliates, which randomly had Bowser Technologies on it during that time, this was while MFGG wasn't even created yet. That was around the time I got an SNES with Super Mario RPG, which drastically changed my interest from Sonic Team products to Nintendo products - primarily the Mario series.
I finally joined the Bowser Tech forums in the last months of 1997, and my first topic was posted, asking for Yoshi fighting sprites. Of course, during that time, the boards only got one reply/post every month.


This is the best part. Had someone replied with the topic, telling me that there were no Yoshi fighting sprites to be found, I probably wouldn't be at MFGG today, I would have just replied with "Alright, thanks," and left the place. But I stuck around and checked it every so often to see my topic everytime - 0 replies, waiting for someone to reply.


And then all the sudden I checked to see my topic, and the Bowser Tech forums weren't there. I was all "... wtf" and saw that it now said MFGG. Pretty much anyone that was present at the forums for the creation of MFGG had the same feelings I did when it changed. I guess I stuck around, because I noticed the activity had dramatically changed, and it was a friendly community.

Hey I guess it must've been around 1997 that I found Bowser Tech, since i'd only just got the username Kritter after joining Dk64 Central in 1997. I only used Kritter when it got an Ezboard though, when it was the guestbook format I used my proper name.

Damnit that's nearly 10 years wasted around you people, no wonder I hate you all so much, i'm sick of the sight of you.

Oh yeah and I was at SFGHQ too, I submitted some libs but they're long gone now. Shame, I had some awesome fusion enemies.

Hey, did you ever see my ridiculously horrible Knuckles 3d game that wasn't actually 3d at all on SFGHQ?

Can't remember now, my mind is too fuzzy. Old age, see

What about Nintendo Crisis in the first age of MFGG?

I was a playable character in Nintendo Crisis, I thought CKA was making that game?

I lurked on the main site for a year or two, then joined april.

He did make it, but it's lost now.



Except that I still have it in my old-school folder, so booya.


I imagine you might relive some memories playing it. What say you?
