Gamecube era over!, or is it?

everyone know the Wii can use Gamecube controllers, there for everyone who wants one for VC and doesn't want to buy the classic one can get a gamecube one, this brings up the fact Nintendo will have to keep manufactureing Gamecube controllers this brought up the question, are they still gonna make Gamecube games, Discuss...

I'm sure there was a preorder for twilight princess for gamecube. I just think you can't get them from shops cos they don't stock them anymore.

Possibly. It all depends if they continue with the plan to make new virtual console games (So new NES, SNES games etc.). If they're prepared to do that, they'll be prepared to make more GameCube ones.

not really, I'm waiting until they release Zelda TP for the gamecube.
if they do I'll keep my gamecube and later on get me a GBA Player so I can Play Super Mario World.
Cuz if I get a wii is only for Zelda TP and to Play my favorite Mario game, SMW.

In USA is coming in the 13th (so I wont have to wait too long)
and I may get it cuz my B-day s in the 25 12 days after, so if there are copies left I probably get one.

I doubt they will make more Gamecube controllers when they have the Classic Controller out there. (It works with gamecube games right?) But I doubt it would be hard to find something like this in bargain bins and ebay.

I'm guessing they will make GC games about 1 year into the Wii's lifespan.

I thought it didn't work with Gamecube games because of (for one thing) not having the special triggers that Gamecube controllers have. But I could be wrong; maybe the Classic Controllers do have triggers like that. :X

Super Paper Mario and DK Kongo Blast (or, DK Bongo Blast, or Donkey Kong Jet Barrel Race or whatever it's name really is), two titles originally planned for the GC that (as far as I know) did not involve using the Wiimote in any way originally were moved to the Wii. That might be an indication that developers are moving on.

He obviously was sarcastic. Also, I thought that the Wii remote could be used for SSBB too, but it was compatable with the GCN controller. It would in a way prove that Wii could do more traditional game controls in Wii style and normal I guess.

I have yet to buy one as I have 3000000 gamecube controllers, so I dont know how it feels. But I dont see why they wouldnt have the option of the Classic Controller.

Yes and no, really.

I mean it's more dead because of the fact that we actually have finally leaped into next generation - but the Cube isn't completely dead. What with the GCN release of TP and the usage of GCN controllers for the Wii and (possibly) SSBB, I guess we won't be hearing much of the Cube nowadays but it's still kept alive inside the Wii.
