So how can I make it play my DVDs?

Yes, the DVDs are legal. It just... won't play them. At all.

Windows Media Player 11.

"my car is broken how can i fix it?"

what im trying to say is that, w/o a description of what you are doing and what happens exactly you dont even have a chance of getting an answer to this since there are tons of reasons why the dvd might not work

...That's my problem. It simply will not play DVDs.

And that car analogy isn't even relevant.

*sigh* well "it wont play dvds" is of no use if you want help

do you put the dvd in an nothing happens or does it run the autostart menu

do you use windvd, windows media player, powerdvd, some other dvd tool

do you open the dvd with that tool an the screen keeps being black, are there any error messages

you need to give a description of what is happening

How about Media Center?

(If you have it...)

I put the DVD in, it asks if I want to use WMP to play it, I select yes. Movie does not play. Nothing happens.

I already said WMP 11.

No errors.

So I basically just explained what I have already explained: It does not play DVDs. Period. Nothing else.

Just so you know, I've been on this forum a lot longer than you, and know how to use the help forum. k? Step off my grill.

Disc is in good shape, and I have tried using Quicktime, but I'm only able to select the D: drive from it to OPEN it, and not PLAY it.
