Not neccessarily, since the DS doesn't have an analogue stick...

If you own it for your N64, THEN it's pointless.

The original has a lot of subtle in-game differences, it's on a big screen, it uses an analog stick (as Black Squirrel already mentioned), and it's the original version of what is commonly considered one of the greatest games ever. I think those things are reason enough to get the N64/Wii version in addition to the DS version.

T-man: I'm almost 100% sure that GCN games can't be played with the Classic controller. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, though.
