It's a really creepy novel about a person born in 18th century France who possesses an incredible sense of smell, but no smell of his own (which causes people to be uneasy around him). He eventually goes on a quest to develop the ultimate human scent so he can actually be like a person, and eventually goes as far as murder to achieve this end. Anyway, they're making a movie of it starring some guy named Ben Whishaw and Dustin Hoffman. Anybody planning on seeing it? --------------------
