I don't know about anyone else here, but I've always found the presentation of 4D geometric objects really bizarre and perplexing. I mean, you can go up to a blackboard and draw a 4D cube as 16 points and 16 lines, and it looks like a cube within a cube, but how the hell would you manipulate it.

http://mrl.nyu.edu/~perlin/demox/Hyper.html - little Java applet I stumbled on which lets you rotate through normal 3D as well as 4D. Really mind-warping to try and understand how it works.

Great way to kill 5 minutes anyway.

It seems like changing it's shape. Farther = smaller.

I think it's easier to think about actually if you consider the similar relationship between 1D/2D cubes (line and square), and 2D/3D cubes (square and cube). A square is basicly 2 identical lines connected with 2 translational lines, and a cube is basicly 2 identical squares connected with 4 translational lines. Looking at a 3D cube head on as a wireframe is basicly a square within a square, which rotates in and out in funny ways when only considered as a 2D drawing.

Now I want to play with OpenGL again.
