Rocky. One of the greatest film series ever is coming to a close. It's been thirty, yes thirty long years since the series was started and now it's finally over. In the end it's a good movie. While it doesn't compare to some of the more memorable ones, it's still a decent entry into the series.
The movie mirrors the first one a lot. We learn that Rocky has fallen on hard times and is deeply hurt by the death of Adrian. We see a ton of flash backs of some of the best moments of the films and how the world is getting worse and worse.
The film is definitely shot in a different way then the past films. It may be the fact that it's 16 years later and styles of filming have changed, but the amount of flash backs is a great touch. Though the fight scene may have gone a bit overboard.
In the end this film leaves you feeling kind of empty. It features more character development then ever before and shortens the actual fight. The ending is a bit disappointing and way to abrupt. With a better ending this movie would have been perfect. It's sad to see another series die, but it's time.
