(Newest update is at the top)
UPDATE 6.5------------------------------
I got the camera to work! Pyramid has been painted! Well, it's got a base coat. Soon we will make it look rusty and stuff.
user posted image

And if you're wondering, yes, I can see in it, although not very well. I can see well enough to walk around without running into walls.

UPDATE 6---------------------------------
I added blood to the apron thingy. The camera was being crap though, and this is the only picture I could get:
user posted image

I also plan on begining painting today, and later, I might start on re-building the great knife, again.
UPDATE 5---------------------------------
First of all I'm sorry if some images are blurry, the camera we have sucks.
Well, I guess I'll start with the newest pic of the pyramid. I'm going to start painting as soon as tomorrow, if I can get the paint:

I'm going for all black as a base color, giving it an iron look, and using the "coffee ground" method, I'm texturing it like rust. Later, the other colors will get painted on too.

Here's the great knife, after a bit MORE reinforcement with the strongest material known to man: Duct Tape.

user posted image
It killed the edge near the end of the knife, but I think I can work around that (Perhaps some really nasty rust stains down there?)

I had realized today that you guys have yet to see my risers:
user posted image
Old Shoes, Duct Tape, Tin cans, and Hot Glue

Of course, I'm not LEAVING them that way:
user posted image
The tops of the shoes will be completley covered up with the costume fully on.

I've been walking around the house with those shoes on all day to get used to walking in them. I'm pretty good at it now biggrin.gif.

Oh, and for those wondering, Here's what I have left to do:
1. Paint the Pyramid and Great Knife
2. Stain the Apron-thing and shoes with fake blood, etc. I have a good method of making fake blood that looks rather realistic.
3. Body makeup, to make my body fit in with everything else better, this will include adjusting my skintone, adding cuts/scars, etc.

After all that, I should be done. I know what I said before, but, thinking more realistically, I expect to be 100 percent finished by mid-February, at the absolute latest.

UPDATE 4---------------------------------
Due to some unforseen difficulties, I had to abandon the "yarn mesh" (Don't worry, I have a backup plan.) Also due to unforseen difficulties, I had to remove and completely re-paper mache the pyramid. The good thing about this? Now it has a much sharper look to it almost like a blade:

user posted image
It's not a vast improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.

Speaking of blades, I completley re-built my great knife from scratch. I like this WAY better. Here it is, in it's huge paper mache glory:
user posted image
(woah, I look awesome here.)

I also did some work to the apron thing, making it much easier to wear and much easier to move around in. I don't have a picture of that though.

UPDATE 3---------------------------------
I haven't actually done anything new, but I figured It'd be a good idea to put it all on right now to check my progress.

user posted image

I think it's coming along well, don't you? Oh, and those bursts of fire are just the lamp right behind me. ohmy.gif

UPDATE 2---------------------------------
Got the great knife built. Next is to Paper Meche the hell out of it.
user posted image

Also began work on the "wire mesh" (Actually yarn mesh) around the eyeholes.
user posted image
I'm going to line the inside with a black trashbag after the painting is done.

I'm sorta going for the movie version here, but It won't be 100 percent accurate. I'm more concerned with making the costume look good than making it accurate.

UPDATE 1--------------------------------

Okay, we've applied a layer of foil, and a layer of paper mache. It'squite sturdy now to say the least. I've also began work on the apron thing, which is no where near done yet.

Here's some images:

Panda putting the paper mache over the foil-
user posted image

Panda wearing the newly paper'd Pyramid, and that thing looks HUGE on her. It's blurry, sorry sad.gif -
user posted image

The apron thing, still unfinished. Soon, I'm going to cut along those lines, and sew the pieces back together all roughly. Then comes the fun part, stains. -
user posted image

I'll post more as I continue

FIRST-POST------------------------------

Pyramid Head costume, to be exact. So far, I've gotten the basic "frame" done. That is, I have everything except decorations/painting, etc. (which Panda will help me with) done.

The only thing I actually bought for this (so far) is the masking tape, which cost 2 dollars. Everything else I found around the house.

Soon, Me and Panda will begin work on the painting and details, but for now, here's the picture:

Me in costume:

C+C please. And keep in mind that it is nowhere NEAR done yet.

I'll update as the costume becomes more complete.

Notice the "Now" command in it. But anyway I want to see how it turns out. When you get to painting though make sure that you cover up the tape on the box.

Of course. Next thing I plan on doing is covering the whole helmet in tinfoil (Dull side up of course), which I will use as a base to add all the details.

Yes, but the sword is going to be one of the last things I do.

One of the ideas I'm tossing around is building cardboard around an unused crutch.

Will do.

Almost got all the foil on earlier, but I decided it was too shiny. I'm leaving it on though for reinforcement, and am fixing to coat it in paper mache. Then comes painting, fun.

After that, we're going to begin the details on the helmet, including a way for me to see.

After that, we'll either begin doing details on the cloth, or begin the sword. Maybe a bit of both.

You could scrounge around for some wireframe, wrap it around the crutch in the design of the sword, and build off that.

Very nice on what you have, though.
