What time do you unwrap?

I know most people unwrap gifts Christmas morning, but the past couple years we've changed our tradition to unwrapping on Christmas Evening instead.

Do some of you dive in on the stroke of midnight? And is it an organizied family get-together, or a free-for-all?

roughly a half hour after i wake up, my sister can't keep her hands off her presents and i just wait for my parents

every year we open them earlier and earlier.

But sometime we open them midnight.

when i'm horny ;)

but really now, we unwrap on christmas morning and it's organized, my dad insists on taping it every year and we open gifts one at a time, rotating between people

we also go to my aunt's on the evening of new years day to exchange more gifts and such

The usual routine:
Wait for everyone else to wake up
Eat breakfast
FREEEEE FORRRR ALLLL
*USE PRESENTS HERE*
Dinner
Suprise presents (Usually choclates)

We open one on the evening of Christmas Eve and open the rest on Christmas Morning.

Get up, tip everything out christmas stocking, shove about 3 bags of chocolate coins down my throat. go downstairs, eat breakfast then wait till everyones up then go into our middle room(room in middle of our house which I'm sitting in now), Open presents, say thanks to everyone. Give presents to ppl. Then run upstairs with them and do stuff with our presents for about 2 hours. Eat lunch. Present time again. Eat dinner of turkey and veg , present time again then of to bed.

With immediate family, in the morning. With the extended family, usually xmas eve.

MY sister and I take stuff out of our stockings anywhere after 7 in the morning. Once our parents are up, everyone is dressed and has had breakfast, we can unwrap the main gifts.

Christmas EvE at 9:00 Pm... it gets me angry because today feels ten times longer then any day

I know what you mean. Even seeing a movie doesn't pass the time.

Tonight we're having a family get-together, so we unwrap some gifts tonight, and then unwrap the rest tomorrow.

All of them tonight.

One person (me usually) reads off the gifts "Merry Christmas, X, from Y." and X goes to hug Y or says thanks.

This procedure is carried out in the evening.

And we swedes celebrate this on the 24'th. so nyeah! :P

Open a few "appetizer" presents christmas eve (usually from relatives not in the immediate family), then we wake up at like 5 or 6 to unwrap more presents. Then we empty stockings and such and eat breakfast

I opened my presents today 'bout 3 PM.

I open a single present on the eve and the rest on either midnight or the morning. It's only 3:45 until midnight, so I may stay for it.

Um, I open presents like at 6:00-9:00pm. My mom's side of the family is going to celebrate Christmas today at 5pm. I'm pretty lucky because I get to have 2 straight days of Christmas. And I'm pretty sure we're going to open presents after 5pm.

Average time everyone wakes up and comes down to living room is 7 AM. It's organized, so my parents let me any my sisters open our gifts first, in oder. First youngest sister, then middle sister, then me, until we're out of gifts, then mom and dad open all the ones they got.

For the past few years we've all been able to open one gift on Christmas Eve, but there aren't too many gifts so I want to wait till tomorrow to open them all.

We have dinner with my dad's family on Christmas Eve (our traditional meal is tenderloin and lobster tails ). We open presents from each other, but I don't get the stuff my parents bought me. That's saved for Christmas morning. After I open the stuff from my parents, we go to my mom's parents' house to have breakfast. That's where we open stuff from that side of the family. Then I go home and sleep until we go back to my mom's parent's house for dinner.
