Night at the Museum

I've been looking forward to this movie for a long time. I'm a big fan of Ben Stiller. His acting skills are usually limited to the weak and bumbling character but he's also shown that he can play a badass. (Think Dodgeball, or Anchorman) Guess I just wasted my Anchorman mentioning for this review.
The movie was great, and lived up to my expectations. Since it was a family film it was somewhat predictible. It was also pretty stupid when you think about it. But it did have some twists and turns that made it fun to watch. The acting was great from everyone. Lots of cameos here and there was also nice. But I think Mickey Rooney and Robin Williams stole the show. The special effects were amazing and pulled off very well. Nothing felt fake or out of place. And overall it was a great movie that I'd be up for seeing again.

I posted this in the other topic, but I didn't like the movie at all. The Mickey Rooney/Dick Van Dyke villain combo added to Ricky Gervais was the only redeeming factor because Robin Williams was underutilized. HIs character was way too one-dimensional.

I gave it a C-.

I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't the worste ethier. It is just one of those average movies in my opinion.
