I guess I'll be the one laughing when you and I compare physiques, Draco. I can't believe anybody would think that you're not supposed to hurt after exercise!

Yo make micro tears in your muscles, which is what causes the pain, which your body then fills in with new cells rather than just sealing up, so your muscles become larger and stronger because there's more of them there.

Also you get cramps when using muscles you've hardly used before (there are over 600 of them in your body, don't be surprised that some you will hardly use if ever) but in the future you won't get those cramps if you keep using them, which is good for your endurance.

What my trainers have always said to me is keep going until you feel like you can't do anymore. Then do a few more.

Your trainers are ****ing idiots, and at this stage, I might stretch that out to you too.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

EDIT: As for our physiques, whether you're "strong" or not doesn't matter, you clearly lack the elemental understanding of just about anything to take me on in combat

i thought the whole muscle pain comes from a buildup of lactic acid that is produced as a side effect of exercise

That's not pain, that's oxygen depleted exhaustion. The lactic acid is produced as a side effect of burning sugars for energy once your breathing can't kick in.

At that point, you should stop exercising mostly becuase... you are no longer physically able to exercise, your muscles are stiffening up

The reason Americans get muscle aches is because they don't know how to exercise properly... because a lot of Americans don't bother ever doing it.

Draco I'm gonna listen to somebody who specialises in training more than I'm gonna listen to somebody on a Mario forum. If you're too ***** to put up with a bit of pain than go ahead but I still say the whining about arms hurting after playing Wii is unjustified. It's exercise, it's good for you, and you're hurting because you haven't exercised enough and built your muscles before.

I've always trained until it hurt and that's not changing any time soon. I'd arm wrestle you to prove it if you were local :P

No. You don't know what you are talking about. Just because you took a class from an oaf, one are several thousand qualified teachers with several thousand entirely contrasting opinions in one county (as in part of a state?) alone does not mean that that one teacher knows what they're talking about without flaw, AND that you listened properly, AND that you remember clearly at this moment in time what you heard when they were explaining it to you.

I can put up with more pain than you could ever hope to.

That does not mean I am going to sit here exercising WRONG because "IF I DON'T FEEL PAIN WHEN I EXERCISE I WILL NOT BE A BIG STRONG MAN"

If a man who knows what he is talking about posts on a Mario forum, does he suddenly no longer know what he is talking about?

I get sore arms after playing Wii, only because I have chronic pain in both arms from like carpal tunnel combined with tennis elbow or some bull****; which all happened after I started working for a year and had to lift like 10kg boxes when my arms are thin as hell and most likely can't cope with that continual lifting.

and i'm not making ***** jokes...

2nd say I had the wii, I pulled a muscle in my arm, which effected all my side and back, putting me in a hell of alot of pain. Next day, arm is still killing, so out of the 4 days i've had it.. only 2 of which i've been able to play.

Worst thing is, i'm dying to play it.

Anyone else gave themselves an injury?

Edit: Jesus, even the correct term for male genitalia is censored..

Lactic acid cramps and muscular aches are a different thing. Naturally anybody will stop if they get cramps or injure themselves but that's a completely different story.

Ya know what's extra annoying? The folks who are mad at Nintendo from hurting themselves from playing too much. I mean, you always see people talking about how they hurt their arms from playing Tennis and you don't see them complaining about Tennis.
