So I recently changed to Internet Explorer 7. It's all fine and dandy, but for some reason, it's making all the text look wierd, and it hurts my eyes. I read during installation that I can easily un-install it, but I need to figure out how. Or at least tell me how to make the text normal.

And no, I'm not switching to using Firefox or Opera or whatever crap you people use.

For god's sake. Get something that isn't Microsoft made by someone who actually CARES about the people in front of their screens wanting some PROPER Internet browsing utility.

You can go to www.microsoft.com and search Internet Explorer 6.

Give it a shot.

If you zoom in on the text, you can see it looks a bit wierd.

EDIT: Ah what the hell it JPEG'd itself.

Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleart...uner/Step1.aspx and do the ClearType setup (or turn it off completely). I think that happened to me too when I used IE7 (don't use it any more) but I turned off ClearType and it's perfect now.

Does the text look normal outside the browser?

go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
look for the multimedia section there, and if "always use cleartype for html" is checked, turn it off and restart IE.
that might work

True.

I wish I could keep the features of IE7(Tabs, Toby's sig not appearing as a big white box, etc.), but with the interface of IE6.
