Another TP Question, Snowpeak Ruins

Sup fellow zelda gamers. I have the faq for the legend of zelda the twilight princess but i'm still kinda confused.

Ok, i'm at the part in snowpeak ruins where i'm going to look for the key for the 2nd time. I'm in the room with the canon with all the ice things. After I shoot through the walls of ice, what do I do?

Did you shoot the big monster?

You need to dig around in the snow outside to unearth a treasure chest with a key.

Use the key to open the gate and use your newfound balls of brass to destroy everything you see (that being the ice behind the cannon, the blizzard monster in front of it, and the walls to the side)

No not yet I don't know where to go to get the other cannon ball. I'm at the part where I'm suposed to kill him though.

But I thought I already did that? Where you see the two tresure chests and one of them is half under the snow and then you dig it up with the wolf and get the key and go to the room with the walls of ice and those ice things and hen it has the cannon at the end that you use to blow up the walls and get out.

The cannon room is not related to destroying the ice monster whatsoever.

You need *another* key to open the gate in the courtyard -- the place with its own cannon right next to the ice monster -- and there are three brass balls there. You'll be using two, and the third is for later on.
