With the web browser having only been barely out a week, it’s quite surprising to see so many different websites becoming Wii-friendly so quickly. We’re noticing a lot that’s being done to keep the Wii userbase happy. It’s actually pretty nice because when we all first browsed the net on our SDTVs, it was sometimes difficult to make certain words out or press tiny buttons that you could barely see. There’s many sites that have now fixed this minor problem. Here at Nintendic, we don’t promote nor demote pornography, so we’ll keep the browsing to you.

Ars Technica was alerted by a reader that a certain website that is absolutely not safe for work and you'll have to track down through a mysterious link elsewhere, recently made an alteration to its design when a Wii user approaches. I, um, "confirmed" this information with my own Wii, discovering a link that only appears when accessing via Wii.

Well there you have it. Not only can you bypass filters on the pc using your wii browser but it looks like porn sites are already on a roll trying to get you to clicky.

Then I could use the wiimote for the purpose that many people have been joking about since the day it was revealed.

What I wonder is how they would do that. How could they make it check that the Wii browser is being used?

Hot. But you'll have to keep hovering over buttons on the browser to get it to vibrate huh.gif

I think some sites have been implemented with Wii-friendly parental controls as well. I had a friend who told me that a while ago; when he tried to enter an adult site he was redirected to the home page, and this also erased any adult history on his browser.
