ITT we petition to shorten sigs.

While we're at it, can we also petition sigs with lots of large marqueeing animated gifs?

This IS discussion with the desired result of getting the admins and mods to talk amongst themselves and work something out, so... Yeah, suggest anything else while we're at it.

Agreed, that's really annoying (not just directed toward Bungalo, but directed toward anybody who has a "love it or leave it" kind of mentality about things).

Anyway, I totally agree with this. Actually, I've told several members to shorten their sig in the past.

Whats with the hate? No need to be an ass about my comment. Ive seen everyone including you do comments like these all the time, so the one time I do it Im jumped on.

I thought we already banned big sigs and all that crap.

Have a reasonable limitation on sigs and if you find them annoying, turn sigs off. No-one will die.

This is like the first time that's happened in ages.

But yeah, we have a wonderful 'turn off sigs' feature.

DRACO'S SUGGESTED SIG ROOLS:

• no big images, but what exactly a big image is is a debate and we know what happens if draco is in a debate (i say the image can be 128 pixels tall as a guess with no experimentation or measurement)
• All images must be hosted by the owner of the signature (I need to check mine for this)
• no porn pls
• All text must be in size=0 (particularly lists of links)
• Telling people to turn every signature off just because they do not like one or two is now an offense

Oh, so where did anyone propagate that all signatures should be turned off regardless?

And that third rule should have been pretty straightforward already. :O

We haven't had any rules or guidelines for signatures ever since I joined, which is almost 3 and a half year ago. Why should we need rules for signatures now? For ****s sake people stop complaining.

Then turn them off.

Big sigs are obviously winner. Even more winner if they spawn threads like this one.

Only thing I got a problem with is when there those wifi things, because they always slow down the loading of the desired page.
