Just a humble wittle (yes I said wittle) engine I made. I made the tileset myself.

I tried to make it as smooth as possible, but there are still many glitches. C+C is great.

The controls are simple. The first level is fairly easy, but tricky with long chasms that you have to jump over.

This is a three-level demo with no enemies, yet.

Also, the game is unnamed so far.

Enjoy the demo.

Your use of tiles is really weird--I can't tell what I can stand on and what I can't. The level layout itself is good, though. I look forward to further demos.

The music chosen is awesome. For level 1-1 I mean. What song is it and where's it from?

This game is a tad too hard. Add walls that block your path so you can't fall through tiles. And I can't get past the first level.

And the clasic-ness is a nice bonus.

I agree with golem. you should especially fix the brown... fence-looking things so that they look like platforms or something.

I admit the graphics need major improvement, although it wasn't a big hassle finding out how to beat the demo. I'll say you did pretty well for what you can do for level design. Keep practicing, and I think you'll be fine. What I did was look for a brick tile and jump on it, especially if I had doubt whether I could walk through the top row to the next one or not.

Well, for a Mario game it needs more Mario elements than ... Mario.

But for a D&D engine, it's actually pretty smooth.

If you're making custom bosses, that's even better than recycling the old ones.

Indeed. Paper Bowser World was about 90% D&D! Anyway, the engine isn't half bad, but it is very basic. Keep it up, and this could turn out pretty good.
