Well, at least she has calmed down. Seriously, I was feeling bad in my stomace when reading this thread. This makes me feel better. It's on a way for the better.

Yeah, actually, I can't believe it either.

You got punched in the face and your mom broke ****, and you went next door. A neighbor, I assume? That's weird, I mean... You must have a bruise on your face, right? And there's evidence of broken stuff? And yet... your neighbor didn't call the cops either?

Yeah, plus the fact that you're posting about this on a message board. "Oh, I'll just dilly-dally next door in, ohh, about half an hour, WHILE MY PARENTS ARE GOING BAT**** INSANE GUYS, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS"

Doesn't make sense. And like Judge Judy says...

Keep in mind there's also no reason to lie about it.

So he's either exaggerating (or lying, because being a glutton for sympathy is a reason Cutty) or he's not being smart about it at all.

Cops or child protective services. Pick one. Call them.

If the cops came to your house once before for a similar reason, it's on record.

Maybe he is lying because he is embarressed.

If his parents were chronically abusing him, I wouldn't be surprised if he made more than one thread, about different incidents.

I'm sure his younger brother (if he has one) in tears talking to the police about how his parents wronged him would be more effective then trying to explain that his parents are full of bull**** and he ain't just your average depressed teenager.

And like everyone else already said in the topic already said, just call the ****ing social workers Delmore.

I suppose if they still don't believe you, prison's always a step above living with abusive parents. =p

I have been in Delmore's situation, except my parents were both pinning me down to the sofa from either side for no reason and as I struggled to get free, my dad hit me in the face and then threatened to drag my best friend over there to try to get her to hate me after seeing me all "angry" like that; where I was being goddamn interrogated and forced to talk to my parents about wnating to see some friends of mine one day. That was on New Years' Day 2006.

I was bawling my eyes after being hit and afterwards, it did not garner my parents' sympathies or anything.

So yes, I am speaking from experience and I know what does and does not work in that situation.

EDIT: Even crying during family therapy didn't even get that ***** of a psychologist to even CONSIDER my side of the story.
