I can't even tell what that left thing is supposed to be. Looks like a Goomba with heavy hemmorhoids. And the Goomba, well, the shape isn't Goomba-esque at all, the eyebrows aren't the right shape, and the shading is poor. Oh, and Goombas have much bigger feet then that.

The left thing is a mushroom.

That doesn't make them good in the slightest.

And yeah how about moving away from the MSpaint default pallette? And the default MSpaint circle tools and stuff. In theory spriters should be able to make sprites with just a pencil tool (And a fill tool if you're lazy).
