Why would you doubt it? If Time travel were really possible, people would be visiting our time or previous times alot. We would know of its existance. If you want to do the whole paradox crap, what makes you think that we are the first timeline?

Isn't Bowser Jr. based on those Mini-bowsers from the Mario Party series?

I mean that people would probably be taught about the past and how time travel didn't exist in 2007, so if they did travel back to this time, they would keep it secretive so as not to cause panic/over-excitement.

What you're trying to do is bring rationality into a world that happens to be highly irrational. Shiggy did as little backstory and retconning with the Mario series as possible because he wants the Mario universe to be as versatile as possible. Simple as that.

Addendum: You're free to imagine your own backstory for the series (as many people have done), but it's fruitless to push it as fact.

I can say this for you at least, The Toadster.

Your theories are better than those of a certain member of a certain other board (I won't mention any names because this isn't supposed to be an outside dispute). One of his theories was about Il Piantissimo from SMS not being human - I think he thought he was a dog or weasel or something, because he was looking at him wrong. Another time he made a topic theorizing about whether or not Mario was gay; he seemed entirely serious, too. I completely forget what his reasoning was there.

My sight of this:

Mini Bowser = Bowser's henchman
Baby Bowser = Bowser's younger self
Bowser Jr. = Bowser's son

There is... no such thing as a timeline in Mario games.

Miyamoto always said, that his Mario games are just what comes in his mind. He doesn't think up stuff like "Bowser and Timetravel = Bowser Jr." He just resized Bowser and called it Bowser Jr because he needed that for a game. No complicate timeline here.

Make them up for fun, but don't expect them to be true, because they aren't.

pretty much. You can notice the same laugh from bowser junior on NSMB and baby bowser in ML:PIT.

The real question is: Why get rid of the other seven Koopalings? It would have been more interesting to see the Koopalings in NSMB instead of using Junior all the time. And they were supposed to be in Super Princess Peach...

This theory is horrible. Bowser Junior is a crap-ass filler character that hardly anyone enjoys. He is Bowser's son, though by what means I have no clue.

Really, i think nintendo's doing the storyline MUCH more than they WOULD do when the SNES were out there. They really never thinked about something like story for Mario, but the popularity was big, and they rethinked about their opinion. And i think that's the why Koopalings aren't appearingin Mario games anymore.


P.S.: And i prefer Bowser Jr. MUCH more than Koopalings. And i think he's the best Bowser partner after Kamek.
