Okey-dokey, here an engine test of mine. I still need to add superpower slow and the VFX and Life meters, but otherwise, this is pretty much going to be what my game's like.

Shift to jump
Space to punch
Arrows to move

There's only going to be two levels, no boss... yet.

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

I love how if I land after jumping without moving, I stay with my jump sprite and slide across the ground. Though Mario never really touches the "ground", anyways.

Because the more popular games were being taken by storm, I decided to use something so bizarre, so strange, so odd, that no one would ever think about taking it. Here is a screenshot from my upcoming entry:

I was considering Goemon as my entry too. I looked through some of my games to see if I could use any for ideas for this competition. I found Mystical Ninja for the N64 in a box. That's such an awesome game.

I believe I have my idea now, hopefully I didn't wait too long. Should I say the idea so nobody else uses it though?

edit: Oh, one other question, if it was, say... *thinks of idea that he isn't using* Mario in Kid Icarus, would you be able to use Mario characters for enemies or would you want to keep the original enemies with Mario there? What about vice versa for those doing like that Goemon in SMB?

Would a Mario/Guitar Hero game be breaking the rules at all? The Idea was to take guitar hero's basic gameplay and throw on a Mario motif and fill it with various Video Game songs.
