about the only other alternative is the openGL object

trust me, anything you see wrong with the M7 object is overshadowed by the pissiness of the openGL object

WTF?! OpenGL is harder that M7. Seriously, Though, They both are not too good :
M7 makes my head spin when spritemapping.
i mean it but, I have to use the 1st person example that came with OpenGL.
