Drawing Competition #4: Mario's High School Days

You guys, I'm really flattered that you like my entry, but my intent was absolutely not to just dash all of your hopes of winning. I think you're all amazing artists, and I doubt that you should be as discouraged as you're acting.

If you're worried about people dominating the art contests, I think the best thing to do is to regulate the amount of times people can win in a row. You know, once someone wins a contest, they can't enter again for a set amount of time. I think that would help...

But don't give up; I don't wanna hear that from any of you! o_o

I already limted it to 2 competitions in a row in the 2nd competition.

I used to enter a regular art contest that divided voting into two categories: Creative and Artistic. Artistic would be the one with the best drawing, Creative would be the one that was the most eye-catching or funny or whatever. Then out of the two winners, one would be selected through a coin toss to start the next contest. Maybe if we had a system like that here, it'd be a bit more fair?

That actually sounds good, I'm sometimes not sure whether to vote for which art looks the best, or just which was most creative. We should do that... seriously.

I'm definitely entering this one. I've started a pic but I think I'm going to start again. I've had 2 different ideas and am unsure which is the best. I'll do it towards the end of the week because I have Monday, Tuesday and half of Wednesday at college.

Love your drawing, Piichi, great colouring! Wish I could do the hair effects like that. I wouldn't really be able to tell it was Daisy though...

You guys shouldn't worry about people dominating art competitions... I dunno about everyone else but I'll always vote on which is the most fun/creative pic and the best idea over whose is the best drawing. Piichi's drawings are awesome but they just seem to be 'of a character'. I mean the last one was Peach in an Alice dress, now it's Daisy in cool girl clothing. Absolutely beautiful art but there's not really much going on.(No offense intended there, the art is fantastic!)

However, if I didn't know this competition existed, I would not be able to tell who that was at all... It just looks like any old anime character.

It looks amazing though, don't get me wrong.

Actually, if I hadn't known this was a Mario drawing contest, I would have probably thought Piichi's drawing was of Selphie from FF8.
