Our world is too addicted to violence.

Cool, I was hoping for a more robust and mature game for the Wii.

Alright, after seeing this there is one thing I'd like to say about violence.

More violence only means increased maturity in terms of the game's ESRB rating. In most scenarios a violent game can bring out immaturity in the person playing it, or make the game itself look immature if it's not handled with tact.

Blood and violence in some games enhances the atmosphere, so of course it only makes it more fun in the titles where it's appropriate. As for Nintendo getting more mature games, it's more of an issue of the Wii getting as many titles as possible rather then getting a bunch of mature ones (especially if cool titles like Metal Gear were barred solely for that reason).

I just hope they don't focus on making the game an endless mindless gorefest, but then again I won't mind if it has decent gameplay and replay value.

Adding in violence does not equal fun.

After having played God Of War and Devil May Cry...yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with you there.
