What Are Some Dumb Things Nintendo Has Done?, Sorry OSM...

I just don't want to bump a 2-year old topic. Anywho, I thought releasing SMB for the Classic NES series for the GBA was dumb, considering SMBDX came out 5-6 years before.

Reverse Twilight Princess completely in the wii version, when you can play it with either hand.

I thought that was a smart move on their part consider Rare has yet to release anything good since.

-Choosing TP style over WW, imo.

Two different games fit for two different styles. Try imagining a cel-shaded Hyrule. "Bright" and "annoying" come to mind. Now, I personally love the Wind Waker's style. But it wasn't a dumb move to change since Wind Waker's graphics were met with controversy and Twilight's graphics were more appropriate for it's darker plot.

But on topic here...

- Rare to Microsoft
- Removing DK as a playable character in the Party games

...and that's all I care to think up right now.

Mario Party would be the greatest game ever if it was just minigames.

They should make a GCN disc that has all the mingames from all the mario parties on it, but that will never happen.

-The rushed end of Twilight Princess. I mean come on, Ganondorf doesn't even talk to Link!
-No NES games in Animal Crossing Wild World
-Not releasing Balloon Fight DS over here because Tingle's in it
-Neglecting Europe for years

I think he means Virtual Boy.

I've actually read pretty good things about Kameo, and though DKRDS has it's flaws, it's still a good game.

And it's not as if they didn't have a Gamecube game in development that looked like it had potential.

Also:

-Not bringing Mother 1+2 GBA or Mother 3 to the US despite all the letters sent into Nintendo Power concerning Earthbound, the times that magazine has mentioned Earthbound, it's sequel, or even Mother 1+2, and the massive amount of signatures on the Mother 3 petition.

The E-Reader (A short-lived novelty)
Stopping development of the fangame Ocarina of Time 2D
GBA-to-Gamecube connectivity (Another short-lived novelty)
Classic NES series (20 dollars for an obsolete video game when I can play an online version for free? No thanks)
Calling the Revolution the Wii (but I guess i'm used to it now, even after all the horrible wii puns/innuendos)

• Forgetting (Or rather, not re-making) Virtual Boy Wario Land (The rest of the Virtual Boy's titles can fade away since there aren't many good ones).
• Letting Hudson make PC-88 versions of half a dozen NES games (And again, not re-making Super Mario Bros. Special).
• Being incredibly stupid and not releasing Earthbound in Europe, just because the American market didn't like it at first. That includes not releasing the other MOTHERs over here either.
• The idea of region locking. Seriously that's all kinds of failure.
• Taking back the DK franchise from Rare after selling them to Microsoft. I love a lot of Rare's games, but it doesn't bother me much if they're on a different console. DK can't leave Nintendo though, and Nintendo can't make decent DK games without Rare.
• Let other companies make StarFox games, and cancelling StarFox 2.
• Ever hinting Sonic would be in SSBB, even if he isn't.
