What Wii games should have been Wi-Fi worthy?, Released and Upcoming

WarioWare and Rayman seemed like good choices, seeing they are minigames.

Wii Sports and Wii Play would have been REALLY Successful

I guess maybe Nintendo should make Wi-Fi versions of those games and then...

So what games should have or should have had Wi-Fi

To be honest, I don't like the all mini game genre all that much. Wario Ware was fun for a while, but to be brutally honest the only reason I bought the game was because it was Wario related. I mean it's fun, but I just don't like the genre enough to buy the sequel or another game like it.

Wii Sports and Wii Play both would be awesome with WiFi. And Metal Slug.

HOLY CRAP YES. Online Metal Slug would own.

Mario Kickers II: The Soccalypse is going to have online, I really doubt I'll need anything else.

Funny thing is, Metal Slug Anthology was originally planned to have online, but it was scrapped for whatever reason. Probably because Nintendo hasn't released the proper development tools yet. Check out this interview that was conducted before all the plans for the game were finalized. Also note that Metal Slug 6 was originally not intended to be in the collection.

As far as my online wishes, lately I've been obsessed with Street Fighter II. I'd love it if they could implement some Wi-Fi features into the Virtual Console releases or maybe even an anthology disc. I do hope Nintendo can work up some voice-chat capabilities though. I don't usually enjoy playing with random strangers, so I consider communication with my friends to be a fairly important part of the online experience. I also really want to see a great online card battle game, though that's probably something better suited towards the DS.

I don't mind voice chat as long as it's in lobbies like Jump Ultimate Stars or Metroid Prime Hunters. If it's a tactical team based FPS and the voice chat is limited to team members who are alive, then I don't mind it there either.

But we're kidding ourselves if we think it's a suitable replacement for normal "in-game" banter during a local play experience. After all, in those situations you can punch annoying people in the arm.

Of that has been released, Wii Sports. Wario Ware/Ray Man wouldn't work so well because the minigames are more of "WHO GETS A HIGHER SCORE" or "WHO SCREWS UP FIRST", so it isn't really direct competition.

Mario Party 8 would probably work well online.
