those are really cool but I think someone is in the shadow of Icegoom hmmm....
your work is awesome but there are some things that look strikingly like his. I'm not saying you stole anything I'm just saying there is quite the resemblance. anyone who hasn't seen his work should check it out it's great stuff. great work too J.

Here and there i'm gonna use a reference to help me out bit. I can do this without refs if i know what I'm making it or how i am

But lately I'm getting use to this kind of style and now. I'm starting to looks at his work less.

It was from a pallette i made and evolved off of

the backdrop btw I didn't use much of a ref. Just one thing for the most part

Very, very nice, although you could probably do something with that solid blue in the background.

A lot of green though. Might not be so difficult if in a game, but it's quite hard to see what's going on as it blends in a lot.

Yes. I've been using less and less. I think i can do the rest without anything more often now.

thats a good plan becuase otherwise your work looks alot like other peoples which isn't that great you know.

Yeah, It's also worse when people steal or edit other's works and not even say who or what they were from

oh I compleatly agree 100% there. only amatures do that. back to your sprites though, why we're here in this topic they're good but you should stray from icegoom's look. I cheacked out your art page on deviant art and I love the forest floor with the rock and ushroom really original but when I see that backgrounds sheet i see ice goom you know?

yeh I know, I think inly one BG i made looks too much like his I might as well scrap that one and make my own version of that.

The best place i could get advice and IMO i like how it looks now

because the last backdrop was too busy, and difficult to see what's going on
