I've recently moved upstairs at work so I have a new desk and even a new computer. The problem? Directly behind me is the vulture lady from hell who ALWAYS tries to spy over me and check that i'm doing my work (yet she uses msn all the time and gets away with it, what a ****).

Anyway at my disposal is ghostzilla, the phantom browser, but with the new position of the desks she can easily poke her head up and glare at my screen. This isn't good, since it's cutting my slacking time in half.

Basicly what I need is a mirror. Or just something reflective so I can see if the eyes of the beast are upon me. Of course I could just buy an official monitor mirror but there's just one problem. It's so damn obvious. My manager would be like "HMM say mike why do you have a HUGE ASS MIRROR on your monitor?!?". So that's out of the case. Any sort of mirror seems to be obvious so I need something which maybe JUST happens to be reflective, yet it's natural that it's there on my desk.

I was thinking maybe one of those mirrory picture frames which would allow me to see behind me without looking too obvious. Metal pens etc aren't good enough because they're too small and the reflections aren't clear.

So what i'm asking is for ideas for something reflective I could purchase which could sit on my desk/wall and show me what's behind me. Ebay links, pictures etc would be appreciated.

Keep in mind, that a mirror could also, uh, work the other way around.

The mirror would be facing away from my screen though, so all she would see is my face.

And the reflection in your eyes.

Why not buying a couple paintings or something in frames with reflective glass?

She's too far away to see the reflection in my eyes (thank god). Gimmie an example?

I can't find anything THAT reflective though. What I meant by a photoframe was the actual frame being a mirror, but I can't find one of those that's big enough either :X

Work so hard that they promote you, and you get your own office?

Start using makeup so you need to have a mirror wherever you go.

Get her fired.

Or more realistically, have a large object blocking her view.

Well, dunno if it's very sensible, but you could get an asspicky LCD monitor that must be in an EXACT Position, like, you must look exactly forward at it.
Kinda like my iBook G4 screen. If I lift my head up an inch, the colors get super bright and inverted.

Blocking her view is impossible, since she's directly behind me.

My LCD screen inverts too but doesn't go reflective at all.

Better; stick bicycle horns all over the floor so she steps on them if she is watching you

Wouldn't work because she's sitting. All she has to do is turn her head.
