Help for game programming, for school

We have to do projects for school in Computer Education, I want to make one about programms which are common in use on the net to make games, but don't even master gamemaker (but I made several small games). I thought maybe I can hide my less quality with quantity (so a bit information about the advantages and disadvantages about those programms and showing a little about it...). Is it possible to learn it with easy tutorials before June or shall I gave it up and just stay with gamemaker? Oh and could you please give me some introductions to other gamemaking programms than Gamemaker?

And could you tell me if there are sprites, sounds or anything else of the Wii Channels and Games already online.

Which Programm? If you tell me a bit about the programm you're using (or give me a link to a short description) and give me an easy example.

Thank you, but I have enough Examples in Gamemaker. If I stay with a Gamemaker project I think I'd rather go along without help, but I want to present as much programms as possible.
