Pokémon Fire Red And Leaf Green, "...shorts are comfy and easy to wear!"

I've been playing for seven hours, twenty-nine minutes, i have one badge, and here's my team for Fire Red.

level 22 male Charmeleon "Kameik" (i always name my starting charmander after my late pet companion)
level 18 male Pidgeotto "Ms Poppo" (this will be explained in due time)
level 15 female Butterfree "Ex-Dee" (out of name ideas)
level 16 male Nidorino "Gerako" (a name i plan on giving my next pet companion)
level 17 female oddish "Naval" (because bellsprouts are unavailible here)
level 15 male meowth "Kamek" (because it had to be this way)

Overall, the game is rather nice with its oldskool storyline touched up with ruby/sapphire shindigs. I've always loved the first 150 pokemon more than any in the other games ever. The graphics are also nice, as is the music, but i was kind of dissappointed how the some of the songs didnt sound as nostalgic and great as the original, now sounding like some super mario allstars crap or a midi some fan pulled out of his arse and slapped on http://vgmusic.com , but that's gaming evolution. what are you gonna do about it? ^_^

Furthermore, Klobber and I started are games together, which made it truly nostalgic. instead of going around "WTF" at each ugly new pokemon the newer adventures have to offer, we were looking for our longtime favorites and it's like, "omigosh! a Paras!" or "Why don't we start looking for meowths now?" And just reliving those early poketraining moments with friends is great! I won't tell you what his pokemon are, except i'll refer to his wortortle as "Seymore" >XD

oh yes, and Charmander learns "Metal*Claw!"
if you train it enough before the pewter gym, it'll learn that attack and it's super effective on rock types. wheeeee!

And then some of the trainer quotes will always be the best!

I'm at Cerulean City now on LeafGreen. I love the graphics and music. And I'm glad they put the running shoes in it. =D So far, my team has 4 Pokemon in it with a bunch of Pokemon I don't like sitting in the PC... XD

i havent, either. my bro has leaf green, but he doesnt wanna challenge me at all until he beefs his pokemon up to level 100 each. ;_;

Pretty much, Klobber and I are at Cerulean, but we made a trip south to vermillion to catch a couple of nyasu and to raise them high enough to fight Kasumi in the cerulean gym.

I'm gonna go watch my pokemon subs now and continue my game when we meet again. *_*

i was too impatient to get a pikachu.

and i forgot to get a town map!

meanwhile my brother is not too far ahead of us and his wortortle is close to level 30 already. ;_;

I've had a 20% English rom for some months. I should probaly get the full english one. :X

i have a japanese silver cart!

no differences between the games with exception of pokedex and other slight layout modifications to fit romaji text, but i basically have it for the japanese pokedex. *_*

and sadly.... i still dont know the english names to half the g/s pokemon! heehee!

My FireRed bundle will arrive, coincidentally, on my birthday. =o

I plan on getting Leaf Green as soon as I've finished Sapphire.

I always end up getting the "cooler" or "less bright" color version of pokemon, i.e. I have Pokemon Blue, Pokemon Silver, and Pokemon Sapphire. No red or gold versions for me! =P

LeafGreen's packaging and game pak are bright so that will be the first. ;P

I have Pokemon Red, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Fire Red now. Darker versions for me.

I've had the English ROM for weeks , but ill still buy this after i get Pikmin2 and pay for a Graal account
