Sympathy/emo topics, Sick of em? I am.

@Elly: I don't see why it would bother you so much. We have a forum for fangame discussion, and we have a general chat forum to discuss anything, including real-world and real-life issues. If it's that huge of a problem for you, you're free to go find another message board with stricter rules about what "general discussion" means.

Because this is a general chat section intended for discussing anything without being stupid/going offtopic. Fangaming stuff has its own section, as it should.

All is well then. I will not try to discuss the boards rules/ideologies further.

Just because some people don't agree with you doesn't mean you can't discuss it. :S

I can't see the logic in not wanting a general discussion section. This forum isn't strictly for discussing fangames.

Whatever. What counts is that half of us are bat**** insane, and half of that half doesn't even know it.


That half is probably the half that keeps posting the life topics ololo

It should go. Just like Cutman doesn't like "Sympathy/emo topics".

I could ignore it, but I just can't.

Meh, breaking off this and returning to Cutman's topic post, I do believe these people need to stop posting sob stories like this.

People like this should understand even on the net there's an appropiate place to post things such as this. I don't give a flaming cow **** that someone's whoever died or got into an accident.

We humans are odd at best, we're driven the constant "want" for attention. These people that post such bull**** on the internet need to learn that just because something in their life happened, it doesn't mean that we have to worry or sympathetic for them. It just goes to show that they want to be showered with attention whenever they posts crap like that, even though they don't give a whit about other people's problems.

I'm about ready to scream. Jesus, IF YOU DON'T WANNA HEAR ABOUT SOMEONE'S GRANDMOTHER DYING ETC. THEN DON'T CLICK THE DAMN TOPIC.

I see your point, but its just certain topics exemplify that fact quite greatly.

I've never had a problem with sympathetic/emo topics ever. People have a right to express themselves or any horrible things that have happened in there lives, its called general chat for a reason.

Edit:

I mean, if you have a problem with people doing that, then don't read the topics. Thats the only advice I can give.

Apple Queso. Using caps lock is a childish attempt to prove your anger at someone or something. You all say "Don't click the topic!" This topic is simply to express our feelings over topics of such titles. By responding in this particular topic we are not saying that we go to every topic we see and then rant about it. Simply seeing a topic title like "My [Whatever] Died." Is enough to leave it alone. This topic in my view is supposed to be the annoyance some of us get having topcis like that clog other, more important things.
