Same here.
I don't know how to convert MP3s or OGGs direct in Winamp, though, so I just write them to a WAV and then convert them in Audacity. It's easier that way, though, as I use audacity to chop up the songs into intro and loop for SMW2.

VLC is cool for newer machines, but it's way too slow compared to Winamp 2.

Of course by newer machines I'm talking like computers from 1998 and on.
