You're dealing with cramped spaces and the kinds of proximities that can cause panic on an airplane. Keeping her in the almost always overpopulated coach class would not only be insensitive to her relative (who'd at the very least deal with prying eyes), but imagine trying to handle that shifting body without the "luxury" of first class's space.

There are only a few other options that I can see, and when you think about those it becomes pretty clear why they chose first class (especially under the immediacy of this situation).

You could try to stash her overhead, but even if she happened to fit you should already be crying foul at the prospect.

There's always the bathroom, but even without considering disrespect it's probably the place where a body shifting is most likely. It also would not make for a pleasant encounter if someone actually had to use the facilities.

The only other option I can think of (at least being procured in an emergency) would be to stick her in the steward area or even somewhere up with the captain. While they would have a close eye on the body here, they also had a distraught relative that needed to be re-situated. But even if they could have comfortably fit both near the very front of the plane, you're compromising safety more than you would by just seating them in first class.
