Sorry, but I just downloaded it myself, it works just fine.

And the Morphball effect? I modeled the Morphball myself in AutoCAD and took snapshots of it rotating towards the camera, then use sprite rotation to make it look like it's rotating. Fairly simple really.

Uhhhh

Would it not have been easier to draw the morph ball in d3d mode?
Not sure though, since I've not yet used d3d in otherwise 2D environment, so I couldn't tell now if you wouldn't be forced to draw everything in d3d then.

I'm sure that the rotating morphball sprite must be pretty large.

It would use less memory just having the one texture, but not much less I'd think. I also imagine the morph ball wouldn't be as shiny or something.

And there are only 36 16*16 frames for the morphball sprite. That's the equivalent of a 576*16 sprite.

How did you make the sparks and the shining and the other great effects?

That was amazing... one problem though, when I went into the morphball, and dropped a bomb, I became regular samus again, and got stuck in some small places. Other than that, best metroid fan game ever... period.

Only thing that really annoyed me was, how you have to wait for ages until the slowass instruction texts disappear before you're able to move again.

You should make instructions skipable.
