Which game genre appeals to you the most

Video games come in all shapes and sizes. Shooters, platformers, party games, puzzle games, fighting games, RPG, etc.

Which types tickle your fancy the most and least?

For me, I'd say I'm fond of platformers, strategy, party and puzzle games.
I dislike shooters, horror, and fighting games.

But what about YOU?

Mainly platformers even though there's been a large hole in that genre for a long time.

After that comes FPS and uh.. puzzle games if they're not sucky.

Platformers are cool, and I like real-time strategies like Command and Conquer as well. There's not really a genre I don't like, although chess clones and brain training don't interest me much.... oh and First Person shooters on consoles (minus the Wii) never work.

Horror games win for me hands down, there aren't that many (at least not many that are actually scary)

I get into it a lot more when I'm scared, a few times during RE4 I actually feared for MY life, but when I died I came to the realization that it was omly a game

Side-scrollers, but a decent kart racer is always welcome, as well.

Platformers, both open ended RPGs and linear RPGs and adventure games.

I prefer Point and click adventures (like Monkey Island 3) or Action Adventures (like Silent Hill and Zelda) over most other genres. My favorite game is an RPG though.
My second favorite genre is the platforming genre. FPS and RPGs are next, but Strategy is NEVER going to be in my like list. Most boring crap genre ever.

I'm not great at 'em, but platformers are up there. First-person-shooters are good too. Puzzle and minigame games are fun for groups of people. And a horror game here and there is good too.

Oh yeah, side scrolling shooters ftw (aka metal slug and only those).

Mostly adventure platformers/rpgs and anything that involves deep thinking a la Zelda. I also enjoy the odd beat-'em-up.

Its really best not to say you hate a genre aswell, because hell, you could be missing out on something amazing just from a few bad experiences. Gotta give things a shot

I've noticed I like things in the first person: shooters, adventure, etc. I also tend to like third person action games a lot too.

or adventure games, like, exciting ones, and most platformers too; I also like RPGs alot, but most don't work on my dang computer =/
