EDIT: The game that had the virus was NOT MFGG Ware. Previously downloaded copies of MFGG Ware should be safe, but you're still advised not to download it from this point on.

UPDATE: Due to how MMF handles online play, anybody connecting to the MFGG Ware channel is likely giving their IP address to MechaBowser. A similar method may have been used to get Raikyo's personal information. DO NOT play MFGG Ware online--or at least do so at your own risk.

First of all, if you're going to tl;dr this, you should at least take this from it: MechaBowser is dangerous and manipulative. I mean this in the most honest sense. MechaBowser should be avoided entirely. Do not communicate with him, and do not download any files from him. This includes not downloading MFGG Ware from this point on (read on for more information).

Now on to the meat of the topic. MechaBowser's ban was issued for what amounts to felonious harassment. Below is a chatlog between MechaBowser and Raikyo:

To summarize: MechaBowser was pissed that Raikyo reported some of his offending posts (the result of which was suspensions for MB). In retaliation, he tracked down Raikyo's personal information and threatened to release it to the public if Raikyo ever replied to any of his topics again. In response, Raikyo agreed to have himself permabanned.

So what's happening to MechaBowser right now?

1. Permabanned. Any single one of his offenses (blackmail, harassment, duplicate accounts) would've been grounds for this, but he had to go for the trifecta.
2. We've contacted his ISP. This kind of harassment is a very serious felony, so I'm sure the relevant authorities (in this case, I think it'd be the FBI) would be interested in hearing about this. EDIT: MB lives in Denmark, so the FBI obviously wouldn't be involved. I don't know what Denmark's laws are in regards to Internet harassment.
3. We're advising everybody not to download MFGG Ware or any other game of his. If you already have MFGG Ware on your computer, virus scan it.

This topic will be left open for discussion on the matter, though please keep in mind that if this does turn into a criminal investigation, the MFGG forums may be used as evidence--in other words, no libel or slander, please (of course, that's against the rules, anyway).

Holy ****. Sure glad I didn't download MFGG Ware. To think that someone would use MFGG to get information and harm others computers.

I virus scanned it, it didn't find anything wrong.

Oh my god...That's insane. It's a good thing that I didn't download MFGG Ware.

By the way, it would be really helpful if people who have already downloaded MFGG Ware would scan it for viruses and report the results back here. This would be especially helpful if we could get results from a variety of people using a variety of scanning software.

Actually, contacting his ISP may not be the best idea because how do we know he isn't doing something to change his location or ISP?

Same here. Maybe he sent him a special version of it with a Trojan.

That's a lot of ****. But I'd like to say that MFGG Ware doesn't contain any viruses, and it was just a fangame like any other fangame.

Guess I won't be playing MFGG Ware.

It might be my scanner, but I couldn't find anything, but then again I never let it check the high scores or anything.

The game in question that was sent was not MFGG Ware, just to clear that up.

It really wouldn't matter if he changed his ISP since they could still trace it back to him.

well I'm back.. hi

anways. that was ages ago. DarkKiller (aka MechaBowser) sent me (and Flametale, too) a Game with a "SMW Screen" in it. then it said that the programm try to do something (connect to an external programm or something like this).

Then some days.. or weeks my MFGG Account got hacked.

But he's still a felonious *******, and I'm glad we're rid of him.

It's hard to believe anyone here would blackmail someone they don't know.

Oh yeah, I should've mentioned that. No, it was a different game--I only suggested people scan MFGG Ware to be safe. Judging from everybody's replies, it looks like everything's okay with it. Still, it would be safe to not download it in the future.

Okay, first of all, I'm MechaBowser. Obviously a dupe, so I'm gonna go straight for it.

DarkKiller is NOWHERE me. He's a friend of mine I know, but nothing equal to me. He has the habit of "hacking" people, notice why I warned MechaSonic/Rive to stay away from him.

Therefore, DarkKiller hacked his account with the gay porn and everything. Too bad I say, since I warned him several times.

MFGG Ware is NO hacking program whatsoever. I have no powers to do this, not at all.

Now you may be wonder, how did I know MechaSonics adress and name?
Well, MechaSonic has a sister whom happened to be less serious about leaking information like this. I got it from her, and thought I'd use it to scare away MechaSonic.

DARKKILLER IS NOT ME.

And sure, you can virus-scan MFGG Ware as much as you like. You'll find nothing.
