And the link springs back to life. Maybe I should leave my computer on overnight ... or at least before I leave for the day. Gaurenteed I'll be gone 8-10 hours a day every weekday.
An optional skin won't necessarily equate to more bandwidth. The increase is negligible really, because people will pick a skin they prefer and stick to it, so they'll be downloading one image set or the other, but not both. Whether or not one comes into being, MFGG is capable of it, and the skin engine is largely what's tied up my time on the project, but a sound system, I've discovered, is very important for adding or modifying features (just in case you thought it was a trivial time waster, or that unecessary disco ball as TD may see it).
And like it or not, the search bar WILL be remaining at the top. I tried to make it bearable for users with smaller resolutions, but if you use anything smaller than 800x600, you're in a vast minority and I'm going to blindly ignore you.

Playing with changes to the submit-it page http://jaquadro.homedns.org/~new/submit2.php Yes, completely rewritten in a much better architecture, which ultimately should mean more features, less bugs, and more consistancy site-wide. Using this new model for submissions, I was able to cull out the unneeded fields, like subcategories and types in games where not needed, and I replaced the subcategory with checkboxes for howtos, which is something you should have been expecting based on changes to the howtos page. The messenger is also getting completely overhauled, so messages you recieve about submitted files and queue decisions should be more enlightening. namely, when a mod declines your submission, you'll soon be provided with a reason why it was declined, instead of just being told it was.
