Continuation Of The Mfgg 'beta'

Search has been redone now. Searches will follow the same page-splitting rules (by user preference), so if you do a search that turns up 300 or so results (like Mario), you won't be loading all of them at once on the same page. Search results can also be sorted by the same mechanism used to sort submissions in the standard pages, but all searches are initially sorted by most relevent results first.

That completes the transfer of all the basic scripts to the new system. If I'm feeling ambitious this evening, I'll create the submission management portion of the User CP, and wrap up the User CP as a whole. After that, the mod queue and other admin scripts will need to be migrated, which will take some time. And once that's done, the entire thing will be put in place on the main site.

The only problem I have with search isn't search's fault... it's the names of some of the resources. Search for Luigi and you get a bunch of enemies for Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. And I also think it would be convenient to put the search on the spriting resources' index page.

Not much I can do to remedy that, allthough it seems to do an ok job. It places strong emphasis on results with "Luigi" (or whatever search term) happens to be part of the name, and that emphasis gets further padded by anything discovered in the description. So in most cases, if Luigi is the key concept, it's going to come out near the top.
