That's THREE people who didn't know the search existed because of it being on the bottom. Myself, Joey, and you.

You cannot tell me you don't see the logic in adding a small bar to the top of a page to let people find the search faster. XD

By the way, if anyone has any more comments or anything on an aspect OTHER than the search feature, PLEASE feel free to jump in, this wasn't meant to be just about the search feature.

But this mock-up pic, I really don't like. If this is what you're invisioning then I really find it distracting. Not just | | spacing.

I don't recall the search bar I saw to be that big at all.

But at least three people didn't!

And dude, the space bar in your pic is a LOT bigger than the one I saw. I don't know if it's a browser issue or what, but mine was quite sleek and compact as I recall. Can't check now, of course, since the thing is down until RII gets home.

I also think that every submission with a red X should be taken off the list. They just take up space, and they will never be restored.

One I saw looked something like this-
If it WAS as big as PK showed it as, then I wouldn't have liked it. :X

The way I showed it is how it is at the bottom of the page. 100% positive.

But the one on top was NOTHING like that. :O

Mine doesn't look like that. The site is working again, so I just took a screenshot of what it looked like for me. You must have a different resolution or it's an IE issue or something, PK (I'm using Firefox). All my buttons and stuff are on the same line and it looks nice:

That has NOTHING to do with the new design anyway, even if it did. This is just a beta site, obviously if it WAS messed up, we would fix it.
