Yes it's 800x600. There's no way to fix the bar so it improves as such?

I'd have to ask RII. Not sure if there's a way to make it look nicer on 800x600 without making it look painfully small or awkward on bigger resolutions, though.

Less wasted middle space maybe? Have one aligned on the left and one aligned on the right I guess.

And in an attempt to make the bar a little more low-res friendly, I reordered the elements and removed the text, Hopefully it fits onto a single bar by now

pah, people argue for 5 pages about a problem, then when I attempt to fix it, no one bothers to answer

Shows up now. Looks better. And I'm glad you moved the search function to the top because I never knew it existed until now.

That's a little better... But there's something so iffy about the whole thing that I can't totally put my finger on it.

Looks fine to me, 99% of the time a search bar is at the top of the page =P

I like it up the top, even if it was 2 rows or one. It's not tacky at all. I think I already discussed with RII or Klobber about how you don't see or use it if it's down the bottom of the page.

I say we just ignore the disagreements of people who have a reputation for being disagreeable and just do a majority rule on it. Most people like it up the top, and I certainly see it being a lot more functional there than down the bottom (logic and common sense both suggest this),

Yeah, should be at the top considering I didn't even know that it was there before this. XD

I'd be all for a new skin for the site providing it wasn't just a boring recolour. Bandwidth is an issue, but so long as the images are small and optimised...

Alternate skins keep the site/forum from getting dull in my opinion.

Only if they're different and new, in my opinon.
