My minigame is over 5MB

I'm essentially ready to release our minigame. Unfortunately, there's a sprite in the game used that Mario Gamer retrieved, and I have no idea who made it, so I can't finish the credits and release it.

You could just not give credit, seeing as you don't know who made it

Maybe you could post the sprite and ask if anyone here made it; you could even make a separate topic for it, I suppose.

Yeah and then watch as I get yelled at for hours on end because I forgot to credit the sprite.


Besides, as I've said, I only don't know who made it, because I'm not the one that got it. It was MG that got it, so he'd know.

Alright, Mario Gamer and I are finished our entry, with my lead in it this time.

I tried playing this just now, and still can't quite figure out how it works. But it certainly seems awesome anyway.

Yes, I did.

I don't quite understand the button combination thing, or why Luigi sometimes jumps really low.

Sergeant Yoshiman your game is good, but gets boring after a while.

Well it is a minigame.

Don't understand how to do it, or what the point of it is?


If it's the latter, it just adds more variety in the gameplay.



As for Luigi's low jumping, I'm wondering that myself. The way the engine works, it shouldn't be doing that at all.

I meant I didn't understand how to do it.

I'll try the game again right now. I'm pretty sure that something was odd about Luigi's jumping, but I'll double-check.


EDIT: Played it again. I'm getting better, it seems; I got 198 on the last try. The low jumping doesn't seem to happen as often anymore. I'm not sure why it happens, but it doesn't seem to be causing problems really now. At first it was making me die because I couldn't jump over rocks.

As for the button combinations, I found I can just manage them by pressing the arrow keys very rapidly and randomly. I still don't know the proper technique (unless that's it).

Uh... you're just supposed to press the arrow key that matches the arrow you're on. You'll know you got it right if you see the blue dot above the arrow move to the next. I didn't explain that little tidbit in the "How to Play," because I didn't have enough room.



Oh, and the low jumping might depend on the speed of your computer. If your computer is a bit slow, it'll lower the framerate of the game, and the jump may be lowered because of that.

Just played it again, and discovered this time that the reason I couldn't figure it out was that the arrows on-screen that you're supposed to press the keys to match, frequently don't display properly for me. In fact, after I press Ctrl they often don't show up at all, and sometimes only some of them are missing (or perhaps stay after they're supposed to be gone or something).

I have no idea what's causing the game to run so badly for me, except maybe it's because I've been downloading a lot recently and my hard drive could have too much on it to run games perfectly. I'll have to look more into it, I suppose.

I just played it myself, on three different computers, and it worked fine, though on the slower one, it had a few glitches.


There may be something with my program that just doesn't like your computer for some reason.

Yoshiman, I get a 404 forbidden when I click on your link...
