Well, I was kinda bored yesterday, and I didn't felt like working on NSMK2 for a moment, so I started with this...

I made a small engine for a Paper Mario character, not using any full sprites, only components (I only merged the arm and hand sprite together) and this was the result. Maybe I'll make a game of it someday...

Now all you have to do is actively resize it and it'll make a nice looking game "sprite" that's not a sprite!

Very nice!
I believe that's how Nintendo actually makes the Paper Mario games.
Could you make it a little faster? Maybe make the room_speed higher?

This is pretty darn cool! Just being Mr. Nitpicky, though, Mario's arms shouldn't move back and forth while he walks. They remain stationary in the real deal. (It would also be cool if you could make him filp over when he changes directions...yeah, good luck with that, though...)

Regardless, this is pretty fancy, and would save loads of time in the way of spriting different animations.

Why does everyone request open-sources?
If one gives out an open source he will do it, if not, not.

Get the open-sources that already exist if you want to make a Mario game. If you want to make something that is not available in open-source, LEARN programming.

Isn't it just me who usually asks that? Of course while no one wants a compilation of various mario engines and how-tos, some people learn from open source engines instead. But eh, I quit asking since no one ever want s to learn and just want to throw **** together.

Ah well, nice engine flipiberke. Very smooth.
