Super Reel World, Minigame Comp Entry

THAT WAS FAST!

Alright, this is my minigame for the competition: Super Reel World.

The game is basicly a score attack. Grab as many fish as you can by pressing the Space Bar to release the fishing hand and grab fish. Each fish has a different score value and grabbing more than one each time you release the hand will result in a combo! Once the hand returns to Mario, the combo gets added to his coin count! Each coin is worth 100 points!

The controls are simple:
Use the arrow keys to move Mario's boat, and spcaebar to release the hand. Once the hand is released, Mario can't move until the hand has come back.

Anyways this is pretty fun. It would be nice if you could press space a second time to retract the magic hand manually, though.

Exactly what I had thought of adding, but I found that having it move to the bottom made it, in a way, more challenging and more exciting seeing the hand come back up and grab a nice few fish on the way back.

I think there is a rule that you can be banned for that because it ruins the fun on a competition, just so you know.

This game is great (Although it kinda lags but is probably my computer) great gameplay! I am suprised Hatman!

Haha. You're close. It's actually based off of the Mario Party e-reader minigame, but the result become more DKC-esque.

The music I used was also from DKC!

Just played your mini-game and it's totally awesome! Nice controls, decent graphics, and great effects. High score was 9300.

Moving could use a little animation, and when idle the boat bobbing up and down would be a nice touch.
