Long story short: Bush almost plugged in the electric cord into the Hydrogen part of the car. Had the CEO not interfered, KABOOM.

Yeah..I'm not a big fan of Bush but I don't know anything about cars either, it's a mistake a lot of people could have made.

People bring every idiotic thing up that he does because he's famous for having the reputation of dumbest president ever. Therefore, people must constantly remind others of his actions to deter them for supporting him or thinking he's a good person. Even if they have absolutely nothing with his being president.
