Action Wiiplay

Is Action Replay being made 4 Wii? If so, does anyone know the release date?

Hopefully it'll be sooner than that, but Gamestop/EB often seem to let authentic shipping dates slip.

I prefer using an Action Replay to look for old development material in a game. THAT adds replay value, man.

Anyways, we won't have an Action Replay for the Wii anytime soon. No homebrew = no Action Replay.

Why do people assume people use Action Replay to cheat to get farther in the game? I prefer codes that **** with the game.

Only time I ever want to use my Gamecube Action Replay disc is when I wanna mess around with SSBM's Debug Mode, or Super Mario Sunshine's Super Jump/Super Speed codes, etc. Or if I wanna speed-run through games like Resident Evil 3 or Code Veronica X after completing them.

Of course, I will admit that I used my AR to unlock Green Hill in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (seriously, I suck when it comes to getting all 'A' Ranks).

GCN's PAR is supposed to work on the Wii, and since it's a GCN disc, I'd buy that

The problem is learning how to get it to work without breaking something

btw Action Replays like being bundled with Freeloader, so I can play your NTSC games at the expense of having to swap discs around like a moron.

But still, with not even a date for a Euro release of Super Paper Mario, it would be worth it.

I'm STILL trying to get one for the GCN, but I can't find any anywhere and I can't order anything online at the moment.

Anyone who thinks that Action Replay is just for cheating to get through the game doesn't know anything about programming. Hidden secrets are unlocked through Action Replay that you most likely will not encounter at any time during the game. Like debug menus and other cool things.

Well, I've beaten most of my games, I would only want it to do stupid and silly things, like go through walls, fly, infinite lives/items, ect...

Also really want it to do silly things mostly on Twilight Princess...

Yes I agree.

Yeah.. I use action replay for hack levels and silly things.
But... Will it be out soon?(and will it update with itenet because the codes a re a pain!)

All the Ocarina of Time codes were worth using, like super jump and speed codes,
I hope they do the same for TP.
And yeah, most normal people use the codes on games they already beat.

"Action Wiiplay" is the worst Wii pun.

1) Yes, you can use the GameCube Action Replay on a Wii, but it only works with GameCube games.
2) Same goes to the GameCube FreeLoader.
3) If you modded your Wii to disable region protection, and you're using a non-US Wii:
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST FIRMWARE REVISION 2.0 INSTALLED ON YOUR WII. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR WII AND YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW ONE.
This is because Super Paper Mario has Firmware 2.0U (2.0 for US consoles) on the disk; if the firmware is older, regardless of region, it will install 2.0U. If you install firmware from another region on your Wii, it will no longer work. At all.
4) People in the UK might not want to play SPM right now; it makes fun of the Scottish (O'Chunks is a giant walking stereotype of Scottish people) =)
