PS3 loses out again?, FFXIII not PS3 exlusive.

Uhh, I'd somehow doubt the validity here (I can't find info anywhere else) but I somehow doubt a site called "PS3Center" is going to spread bad news about the PS3...

But once it is announced, there goes any chances of buying a PS3. The world will turn upside-down.

I wouldn't count on it staying that way.

They've ported MGS titles over to the XBOX before and I can guarantee you they'll do it again here with the system being more popular than ever.

Ugh.

I still have my subscription to PSM and I'm not looking forward to how they plan to spin this and the inevitable MGS jump if it all ends up becoming a reality.

Love their staff, I enjoy their reviews but I really wish they would let out that inner nerd rage once...just once.

Substance and Substinence have been ported to Xbox.

If anything, I imagine MGS4 will be scheduled for XBOX360 after it's initial release on PS3. Besides, that's when they make the cool version of it

Somehow doubt the newest FF release isn't going to be PS3 exclusive though.

That's what you get with console, that has unbelievably high game development costs and is generally overpriced.

This is completely untrue, the possibility is doubtlessly there but this is just tripe to get hits for some ****ty site. If you want to start buying into this; you should also look at this story on Digg I found about new SSBB characters, yes... Bowser Jr., Cel-Shaded Link... and Ridley!!1

I'm going to give it the benefit fo the doubt, and say that this is entirely possible. Final Fantasy has been on other consoles before, and if Squenix sees an opportunity, I'll bet they'd take it. Right now, as pricy and buggy as it is, the PS3 is not a moneymaking opportunity. If they go anywhere, it'd probably be to XBox--though that could also be contradicted, since Nintendo used to be a huge Final Fantasy console--and could possibly regain it's ground.

But how would you play Final Fantasy with a Wiimote?

If you ask me, Sony's taken alot of steps into the wrong direction, an re sewing the seeds for their downfall. I'm seriously considering porting over to XBox eventually.

Do you mean Subsistence? It never came to Xbox. Substance did though. That's basically it. Subsistence was PS2 only. Otherwise I would have gotten it for my Xbox.

There's no reason why it has to be PS3 exclusive in the first place. I'm sure there's a great market for a true sequel with both 360 and Wii gamers. Square-Enix aren't 2nd party developers.

The way I see it is that XII was only released on the PS2 because the GameCube isn't doing that well and Microsoft have pretty much forgotten about the original Xbox. If it had been released, say, three years ago, it may have got a multi-platform release.

Like original MGS was ported to a superior system, from the PSX to the cube.

Although that was a remake that wasn't developed by Konami.

the fact that it says other consoles in the plural suggests a wii release.. which could be sweet if it's true
